Burncoat Magnet Art Show "Blue"

Students from the Burncoat Magnet Visual Arts Program (Worcester Arts Magnet, Burncoat Middle, and Burncoat High) have continued to collaborate and create by pushing the boundaries of IMAGINATION AND INGENUITY. By exploring multiple mediums, these artists have interpreted the many manifestations of the color BLUE.

AAS Brings "Isaiah Thomas" Into All Fifth Grade Classrooms

The American Antiquarian Society (AAS) will bring Worcester’s revolutionary war hero Isaiah Thomas, as portrayed by professional actor Neil Gustafson, into every fifth-grade classroom in the Worcester Public Schools with an educational program entitled Isaiah Thomas – Patriot Printer. Isaiah Thomas founded AAS in 1812 as the first national historical organization. The program is currently touring to 33 schools and will reach approximately 1,800 students. Isaiah Thomas – Patriot Printer also comprises online resources, including lesson plans developed by teachers and digital copies of historic images and documents found in the AAS collections.

City of Worcester ordinances require property owners to clear snow and ice in front of and adjacent to their property. Property owners can be fined $75 per day and/or assessed the cost of removal by the City if they do not clear snow and iceDo your part to keep sidewalks, curb-cuts, and ramps clear of snow and ice!

"Be Our Valentine" Contest Winners

The 37th annual Valentine Contest presented by Worcester Historical Museum for Worcester students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. All winners will be recognized on Wednesday, February 10th, 4:00 p.m. at the Worcester Historical Museum.

WCVB Worcester Wake Up Calls

WCVB, Channel 5 will highlight five Worcester Schools as part of the "Worcester Wake Up Calls". All "wake up calls" will occur at 5:10 a.m. and 6:10 a.m.
